Firewall in your iPhone

The Firewall IP is a useful program if you get a jail-broken iPhone. It blocks some unwanted traffic and also gives users to log the traffic in and out for monitoring what installed apps do. The logging is a good function but get a bad side-effect. The captured log may bump up to several MB and halt the Firewall IP gui if you open the log. If you encounter this issue, use iFunBox to connect to your iPhone and delete the log file where located as "Raw File System/User/Library/Preferences/com.Yiller.Firewall.Log.txt" I suggest to capture the traffic by putting Fiddler as a proxy in your PC, and set the proxy server to your PC in iPhone for avoiding this issue if you insist to.

Same Group Policy Can't Be Applied Across Multi-Forest

Group Policy Group Policy provides administrative control over users and computers. Group Policy can be applied to a domain, organizational unit, or site within the same forest. It is not possible to apply the same Group Policy object to users and computers in multiple forests. If necessary, administrators of the forests can apply identical Group Policy objects to the domains, organizational units, or sites in different forests. For example, if you are managing merged organizations and have applied identical Group Policy objects to affect the users and computers in each domain in the original forest, you might want to apply identical Group Policy objects to all users and computers in each domain in the other (merged) forest. Another scenario in which Group Policy management across forests is important is in the test-to-production scenario. For example, for staging purposes, many customers maintain a separate test forest that closely resembles the production forest. After the p...

Safari can't Open Any Websites - iOS 5.0.1

Device: A jailbroken iPhone with iOS v5.0.1 Safari goes online while the iDevice connects to a WEP WiFi network. The problems comes when connecting to another WPA2 WiFi network which is configured in NAT-to-NAT. The iDevice states it is in a connected state and is capable of start ping to websites via MobileTerminal without a fault. Sorts of problems comes into play in a first round: 1. Does the Redsn0w jailbreak get a potential problems? 2. Does Safari not support WPA encryption? 3. Does iPhone not support NAT-to-NAT? Spending a day, the problem is solved. The firewall in the router blocks all mobile-apps connections. ;-)
